49 acres of forest, field and a river to wade in.
What more could you need in a get-away?
Our property straddles the Barton/Glover line in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Last year, Glover earned the title of "Town Doing the Best Job of Keeping Vermont Weird" in the Seven Daisies. The well known Bread and Puppet Theatre and Museum puts on fantastical, political, sometimes too heady to understand but always incredibly masterful productions all summer. Barton is home to Crystal Lake and the Orleans County Fair, which has been held nearly every August since 1867.
Though we are located less than a mile from Interstate 91, we'd encourage a leisurely drive on the back roads while you are out here. If you need a destination, we'd suggest heading towards Lake Willoughby, Hill Farmstead Brewery, or the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. If you need an adventure, we can help.
